This is not only a fantastic looking coffeemaker, but also a highly functional one. It's a bit slow to drip, but the coffee flavor is excellent and the coffee comes out HOT the way I like it. I bought the permanent filter from the packaging that comes in the box. This product would be improved if Hamilton Beach would just include the permanent filter in the box instead of requiring you to order it as an option.
